Manifesting is a term often used in New Thought and New Age circles to refer to the belief that one can by force of will, desire, and focused energy, make something come true on the physical level. For example, the Indian guru Sathya Sai Baba is famous for allegedly manifesting objects out of thin air.

Isn't this akin to what is covered in the Law of Attraction? Since "The Secret" became more popular this year the general public seems to be more aware of manifesting their own destinies. I just wonder if they realize that it takes actual work too. You have to DO in addition to thinking and believing.

my friend has now twice been outside her home and seen a monkeys figure clinging to a pole. its presence has made her feel uneasy and she went inside. she is going through alot at the moment in her life. does this vision of a monkey mean anything?
