I think your husband is right. I would probably stick with your current job unless you are truly not happy there or you have a confirmed job lined up. The economy is not kind to older people in the work force and the unemployment rate is extremely high and I wouldn't want you to fall in the trap where the grass looks greener on the otherside and you find out it doesn't.
Just be careful whatever decision you make just know it is right for you.

You can always look for another job without leaving this one first. Nothing wrong with window shopping, just bear in mind that the grass isn't always greener!
