I know this is commenting on this now might stir things up abit again...but I couldnt help myself from commenting...seems to be the case as of late..LOL! I feel like a kid again ...so indulge me and allow me to be one...

Yes....I find so desparate true. Felt as a young child why I should have to do it if I already know it and saw school work as practice and why practice something you already know.

Yes...this is true, always whined about it even though I ended up doing it anyways for fear of parants anger...Had a very strict upbearing.

6. May have experienced early existential depression and feelings of helplessness. These may have ranged from sadness to utter despair. Suicidal feelings while still in high school or younger are not uncommon in the Indigo Adult.

Yes....always depressed in my childhood and teenage years and yes even suicidal attempts, only in my case it didnt stop at just the feelings stage.

7. Have difficulty in service-oriented jobs. Indigos resist authority and caste system of employment.

YES and double yes on this one....can't stand a 9-5 job or even a job that you have to be there for any given time. In fact, I hate having to take orders from anyone..much rather do the ordering around instead...

8. Prefer leadership positions or working alone to team positions.

Yes...most definately true of me....my new and current job is more of a contractor specialist

9. Have deep empathy for others, yet an intolerance of stupidity.

Yes...always had empathy for others....and my most pet peeve of all is "stupidity" no patience for that at all...however lately I seem to be too patient of everything...but then that is good.....

10. May be extremely emotionally sensitive including crying at the drop of a hat (no shielding) Or may be the opposite and show no expression of emotion (full shielding).

Yes....I used to be "full shielding" but now....Lord help me...I now seem to be the "no shielding" one...can get very emotional these days...is that good or bad??? HHmmmmm....makes one wonder doesnt it?

11. May have trouble with RAGE.

Yes and No.....

growing up? definately yes, in fact all the up to about a year and a 1/2 ago and it slowly dissapated to where I don't get angry anymore.

12. Have trouble with systems they consider broken or ineffective, ie. political, educational, medical, and legal.

Most definately without a doubt YES! Can't stand it at all....how they like to control everyone else for their own gains.

13. Alienation from or anger with politics - feeling your voice won't count and/or that the outcome really doesn't mattter.

I am neutral on this one and don't really know how to answer this one....if meaning that I feel powerless?? on that note...No....

If meaning do I participate in it....then my answer is that I chose to alienate myself from all the pretense of wanting to protect mankind jargon they use and see it for what really is their prime objective....

14. Frustration with or rejection of the traditional American dream - 9-5 career, marriage, 2.5 children, house with white picket fence, etc.

YES Can't tell you how this rings true!! Love to have the career, marriage, in my case 3 (or is it 5 with step-kids) but not in the conventional way as most have them....

I believe the American Dream is not the 9-5 job, marriage, family and that house with the white picket fence around it and also the nice car parked in the driveway or inside that house with the white picket fence around it. What the American Dream is.....is to be "IN DEBT" all your life so that you CAN have that 9-5 job (to pay for it all), marriage, family (conventional by meaning, can't tonight honey I have to work in the morning) (and never seeing them for having to work so much, in debt remember?) and that house with the white picket fence around it with the car in the drive....LOL...

15.Anger at rights being taken away, fear and/or fury at "Big Brother watching you."

yes to part of this....can't stand someone trying to use their strength or position to control someone else....

No...I havn't cared what others thought about how I conduct my life or what I do...what I do, I do what it takes to make me happy and what it takes to make those around me happy...I never really cared what ppl thought about me...

16. Have a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world. May be stymied what to do. May have trouble identifying their path.

Burning desire to change the world??? Yes, I do have that....stymied by not knowing how to do it or trouble identifying my path??? I used to, but now I am very clear of what my path is...

17. Have psychic or spiritual interest appear fairly young - in or before teen years.

No, not really...always could see spirits and have seen them since I was 5 yrs old....I never knew about anything or even thought of anything possible of me to be or have.... In my case, it found me and forced itself upon me one day and pretty much said, "Here....it's all yours..." and then left it up to me to find out how to use it without an owner's manual.

(don't get me wrong!~~ I had always cherished and loved, and still do, my surprise package gift of my soul!)~~

18. Had few if any Indigo role models. Having had some doesn't mean you're not an indigo, though.

Yes to this one...

20. Random behavior pattern or mind style - (symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder). May have trouble focusing on assigned tasks, may jump around in conversations.

Definately yes....

Always thought I had ADD, Adult Deficit Disorder

21. Have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices.

Yes on all accounts..

Although some out there would classify this as being schiztaphrenic (did I spell that right?)

22. May be electrically sensitive such as watches not working and street lights going out as you move under them, electrical equipment malfunctioning and lights blowing out.

Yes...used to affect the whole computer system at work with my tempers.

23. May have awareness of other dimensions and parallel realities.

Awareness...yes...

actuality know if I've experienced seeing them??? Very unsure.....don't have anything to gauge by to say definately, ....yes this happen to me...or...no that never did type of thing...

24. Sexually are very expressive and inventive OR may reject sexuality in boredom or with intention of achieving higher spiritual connection. May explore alternative types of sexuality.

Yes to the first part...." Sexually are very expressive"

25. Seek meaning to their life and understanding about the world May seek this through religion or spirituality, spiritual groups and books, self-help groups and books.

Yes..nonstop for the past 19 months since I've known....

22 definate without a doubt Yes's is not bad!

Please note, anyone could have a few of these traits, but Indigo Adults have most or all of these 25 characteristics.

Anyone have any comments or fancy discussing this?
