Hello all,

I don't know where else to post this, lol, it could have a physical answer but I don't know.

I just got dressed in my favorite white capri's and came downstairs with my 3 yr old. After a few minutes, all of a sudden there's a large and next to it a small drop of blood smudged on my pants (about the size of a quarter together). It soaked through and I thought I had a cut on my leg but there is nothing. My nose isn't bleeding. I checked my daughter all over and she is fine. How could this have happened?! It's driving me crazy. Thanks for any ideas!!

We must first eliminate all the possible everyday physical reasons for the blood appearing, before we should begin suspecting that it's appearance is paranormal or from a psychic or spirit source.

I think that with no obvious wounds being found, we can safely rule out the remote possibility of stigmata for the moment (the spontaneous appearance of bleeding wounds at certain places on the body which are believed to correspond to the wounds which Christ suffered on the cross).

Is it definitely blood, or something else which leaves a red stain?

Where exactly on your pair of pants was the drop of blood, and was it bright red or of a deeper, darker color?

Is there any chance that it was menstrual blood, related to your periods?

Was your 3 year old daughter held against that part of your body?

In the absence of any visible cuts are there any previous dried wounds or alternately obvious signs of bruising immediately under your skin?

Do you suffer with unforeseen and spontaneous nosebleeds?

Do you have a family medical history of uncontrolled bleeding where your blood takes too long to coagulate or does not coagulate at all?

A possible carrier for the genetic condition of hemophilia whose symptoms are normally very mild or totally absent in females, but can be severe and potentially fatal without appropriate treatment in males?

Old wounds may still continue to slowly seep new drops of blood, long after the main bleeding has stopped.

Is there any possibility you are anemic, frequently due to an iron deficiency in women?

Has the surface of your skin been scraped, but not actually broken?

Broken surface capillaries are normally not visible with the naked eye.

These are but a few of the many questions which I feel need to be answered first, before we jump to premature conclusions which have no basis in solid evidence, and start looking to a possible psychic or paranormal source for an explanation of the drop of blood mysteriously appearing where it has.

When I was pregnant with my son, I started bleeding from my ears, my eyes, my nose.  I kept feeling like I were going to pass out right before the said events.  I had experienced the same thing with my daughter, but I did not have the bleeding.  My OBGYN sent me to a specialist for complete scans to find out what was the cause as diabetes was ruled out.  We found out that I had mitrovalveprolapse (mitro-valve-prolapse).  What was happening was that the valve to aorta was not closing all the way so when it went to pump, it was sucking the blood back into the heart.  This was causing a vacuum effect on my veins (making them smaller).  When my heart sucked blood back in, it skipped a couple of beats trying to get back on track, so when it finally pumped again there was a huge surge of blood.  Because my veins were constricted from the suction, when the heart pushed the blood out, my veins would rupture because of the abundance of bloodflow.

The moral to this is that you should always go through a process of elimination.  Everything cause has a reason; some of us never figure them, and others do.
