A dilemma I find quite often is knowing how directly to give insight on others issues. I've read in astrology I can benefit much from turning my powers of insight inwards, as well as that I can cause troubles from offering help when it was not asked for. But when someone does bring up an issue to me it is all ways hard to be sure how much to tell them of it and how much to let them discover for them self when they are ready to. It can often be something that is very touchy for the ones involved and they are not always ready to hear what they are doing that is causing the experience.

I'm born the year of the snake, and snakes have venom, and poison can be used in a healing way. I guess the line of using and not using venom would be defined by where ignorance of truth and fact would cause more damage then would a few venomous words that would serve to prompt change and healing. Like how one must accept they need change or healing if they are to begin the process, and a small bit of pain can prompt this realization of the need.

If you listen to the inner spirit voice it will tell you how and when to open to anyone who asks.  The key is to wait for someone to ask for your opinion.  You might even ask them if they are sure they really want to know the answer to the question asked.  That leaves them in the drivers seat, directing the event.

Personally I would never use anything venomous in the way you describe. Venom is a word of hate. A snake's venom is designed to inflict pain on another.  Perhaps you might be better to look at the transmutation properties of a snake than assuming only one attribute of the snake?
One should always be sensitive when giving readings or words of advice. They can change lives. The tongue can be as viscous as a double edged sword, and harsh words can cut as deep as any wound, but take far longer to heal. We have no right to interfere in another's journey in that way. I think that experience comes into play here, sometimes one has to experience things to learn and sometimes a person does not need healing or changing, they are already on the right track according to the lessons they need to learn, and outsiders looking in may not understand the true circumstances.

Hi Aegus

This was a topic raised in the tarot forum only recently and it is quite interesting that it has been raised here too.

Yes, it is always a question as to how much you want to tell the querent. I believe in telling them things mildly or in a precautionary way rather than like a bomb telling them this and that is going to happen, bang, bang and out. How the hell do we know if this and that IS actually going to happen? Are we gods suddenly? We are not doctors or surgeons either to be sure of our science. Even doctors get it wrong.

Whilst your metaphor of the venom being medicinal - in rare cases and with people who are ultra strong in character - may be somewhat correct, but I would still prefer to use tact, sensitivity and the gentle approach.  If and when you are really asked to be open and honest (as spiritalk put it) then perhaps you could say what you see and being always careful to say… “This is what I see”….. or “This is what they’re showing me…” I agree, it may come across like we are passing the buck to ‘them’ up there…

Thanks for the replies.

I mean more seeing the cause of a current trouble rather then what a likely outcome may be. Which is often shedding light on how one is responsible for what they are experiencing, and can be hard to get through when they would rather think that it is just how things or blame it on any other excuse. Like people choosing to believe that something is merely a physical ailment and choose to ignore it's spiritual connection as acknowledging the spiritual cause of a physical ailment would remove the excuse that it's just what the physical reality is like.

I have found that there are lots of ways ones subconscious will communicate there not being ready to hear. It can be hard to head these messages though and watch others suffer and seek conventional help rather then go to the core of the problem and make the effort to improve them self.

It always brings me back to heading the wisdom my self ans starting with inner change.
