Hi All,

I am hoping someone can give me some help.  I am very new to opening up my spirituality although I have had experiences throughout my life. I have seen signs from my late brother and had a few OBE experiences. I sometimes sit with candles and his photo and I swear the photo changes, his expression - he smiles at me, and I have seen up to seven different faces in the photo.  It all scared me a bit so I stopped doing it but I am planning on starting again this weekend!

I have started learning how to meditate just this past week after being told by a psychic this is what I am to do now.  I find it a bit hard to shut off everyday noises and my brain, but I seem to connect really fast.  I have asked to communicate with my spirit guides.  The first time it happened I got tingling down my left arm.  Then last night was tingling in my left ear.  I asked to see him and I got a vision on the right but the voice is from my left.  I see bright lights behind my eyes and dark shapes but I can't make them out.

Now what is confusing me is the voice sounds to me like my own.  Which is why I am doubting myself a little.  Although I truly believe that I can do this and I think I am psychic but in what capacity I have no idea.

Sorry for the long message but what I would like to know is, can the spirit guide voice sound like my own?

Any help or guidance would be VERY much appreciated!

get some physic and go for a taort reading.

Go to the Mystic Academy and read up on some of the notes under Mediumship Development - in particular the notes on spirit guides.

The connection for spirit guides is through meditation.  You set the intent for your meditation as development.  Then go to a peace centre of your own creation.  Once at peace, invite your spirit guide to enter by providing a symbol (something from nature) and a seat.  In this way you are welcoming the interconnection.
