Off and on through my life I have had experiences with clairvoyance, precognition and a general sixth sense like a gut instinct. There were three occasions when someone had died while I was sleeping and I saw it happening in my sleep or was told by a voice that they had died. I know that this wasn't just post hypnotic suggestion through people being near me because I knew they were dead before anyone else in the house. Then on several occasions I would see things happen before they happened. Rarely I remembered the incident until it happened but occasionally I would recall it before it happened.

However, these days these sort of occurances are rarer. Am I losing this gift? Is there a way to strengthen these sorts of abilities so I can not only get it back but have more control over it?

Absolutely not. As long as you are a spiritual being temporarily using a physical body in order to learn a series of important lessons which can only easily be learned in a physical world such as this one, your psychic/intuitive gifts will never desert you.

The only possible exception to this rule is where the person has intentionally abused his or her gifts for selfish and malicious purposes in order to do harm to others that our guides may pull the off switch on these spiritual abilities of ours, to minimize any further negative karma we would accumulate as a direct consequence of our ignorance as well as to contain the damage we have already done to other people.

Since you do not come across to me intuitively as being this sort of egotistic person who wishes only to have power over others, I feel that you are quite safe in this regard.

Our spiritual gifts can however at certain times in our lives slip further below the surface of our consciousness, either through us not using them regularly and trusting what they are telling us is so, or alternately there might be other things currently happening in your life at this time which must for the moment take higher priority.

The only real difference between a genuine and caring reader and the average person is that we have consciously decided to become more aware of and to further develop the same abilities which we all possess to some extent, in the loving service of others with the sole intention to help them discover and to follow their own unique spiritual path through life.

Such a disposable attitude about bodily life is the cause of waste.
Would make more sense that we are in a physical body to learn how to build maintain and live in a physical body. Death is result of sickness. Like one way that power that is being abused can be taken away. Have to be grateful for being protected from our selves in such a way. We are in bodies to experience life and through this learn to create better experiences. Such a disposable attitude about bodily life is the cause of waste.

Hydrogen from life on this planet escapes the atmosphere and is pulled into the gravitational pull of the sun fueling the source of energy for life on this planet. So it's a symbiotic relationship that can go on as long as balance is maintained.

My equation for a balanced life, in terms of spirituality, is that you're connected to materialism as much as you are connected to the cosmos. All of which is being tied by love and joy. People might have a different equation because all of us are unique.

As for maintaining psychic abilities, it's good that you should appreciate them ad not to abuse them, but developing and improving psychic abilities also involves practising and somehow devoting yourself to learn more about it etc etc.
