I wanted to thank you sincerely for posting this, and was interested to know whether you had ever tried doing step one, without also doing the pointing arm thing as a way of comparison.
Most other variations I have seen of this what comes down to "remote sensing" involves doing step one plus simply asking oneself in a lightly relaxed state where the missing object or person might
possibly be.
Note that any intuitive method you might choose to use is only ever going to give you the approximate probability of the object or person being in the place you are shown or told about through your psychic impressions, instead of anything like offering you an absolute guarantee that it will be there, so do not feel that you have only partially mastered this method you have just described because it has failed once or twice to help you to get at the truth.
It may actually be performing as well as could be reasonably expected, as there are many known and unknown factors which could lead to the outcome being changed at the eleventh hour and which could not be foreseen by even the most gifted psychic on the planet.
Do some personal research of your own if you are scientifically inclined concerning what has been called the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, which basically states that there is no way to precisely locate or predict at any given moment where something will be and at the same time give it's speed and direction (velocity) because of a certain degree of randomness or chance that has been built into the very underlying fabric of this Universe.
This general principle also applies right down to the level of the individual atoms and electrons of which everything physical including our own bodies is built.
So the main message behind my posting is that I feel that you might have more consistent success doing this if you do not always stick with exactly the same method each time.
Be willing to experiment (as you did call this one) and remain as flexible as possible at all times in your approach. Do not get the idea that one method works for everybody, as even the way in which we gather intuitive or psychic information from our environment is often as unique as we are ourselves. What method works on one occasion may not always work on the next, so do not become too dependent on any one method as being a universal solution to everybody's problem no matter what it might be, all of the time.
But your suggested method does have a great value and purpose in itself in that it could potentially serve as a starting point for different people eventually finding their own preferred way of remote sensing based upon this method, so once again I thank you for bringing it to our attention.
Kindest regards,
