Oooh!  My skin is "crawling"!  I know what you mean about being afraid, but, not afraid.  To me, it is like an uber case of anxiety, though, the good kind, like you get before a roller coaster or off a high dive into a pool.  Our awareness is heightened at times like this.  If we could only learn to bring about that awareness at will.  

Cool story!  Did you ever consider setting up a camera aimed up the stairs?  That could turn out interesting.

LOL, I know what you mean That was only half the story..lol.  There are a total of 5 phones in that house, well the one in the kitchen will dial and ring by its self. They have had the phone company there several times and they even rewired it. My dad has talked to something that he too thought was my mom. My step brother has seen things as well. When you are in the living room you can see something walk quickly past the doorway in the kitchen as well. I do not like being alone in the house, not because I am scared more like I can sense something. I haven't tried to set anything up to catch anything, I know if I did my mom wouldn't stay there anymore..lol. It is like she can think something is there but to actually see something would scare the dickens completely out of her. She doesn't want to see if something is there..lol.

Things happen no matter where I am. It is weird, no one has ever died in my house or land but things happen here as well. I was comming home from work one night and actually ran a red light. I seen someone walk behind my car so I just hit the gas, luckly there was no other cars out. When I looked in my mirror again after hitting the gas peddle, there was absolutly no one around. So, sometimes I wonder if places are haunted or is it me..lol. I am always seeing things from the corner of my eyes but they move so fast that I can't get a good look. My husband who doesn't believe in "Ghost" Spirits", anything paranormal actuall admitted he seen something not long ago. We were sitting at my kitchen table and at the same time he seen this black figure walk behind him thru the window I had that same unnerving feeling. Then he said very quickly that it was his mind playing tricks on him. I have alsio had sauvers and coffee cups to spinn and slide at the same time accross my kitchen counter. Not wanting to get into the discussion with my husband I grabbed them quickly and put them back..lol. I just thought to myself "Stop it" and it stopped. Anyway, there are just so many things I can't explain and I am still learning as well. It would be nice if like you said we could turn it on at will Many Blessings

This kind of thing is right up my alley!
I live and work in Asia and in my spare time I am the president of a paranormal investigation team in this kind of apparition is actually quite common (and in my opinion is becoming more and more frequent but I have no really hard data to prove this).
In my opinion I think that you should become a paranormal investigator!
That may sound like a joke or funny but actually I'm being very serious.
It appears as though you are totally not afraid of this phenomenon and that is very good because you have no reason to be.
If you approach this from a scientific perspective you gain a certain degree of power over it.
I would suggest borrowing a video camera from a friend or from rental store in setting it up in the area where you see this figure the most.
Set it to nightshot it has the ability to do so and let it roll all night.  Then sit back and prepare to be extremely bored while you review the video.  If you did for eight hours you'll have to sit down and watch the video of nothing happening for eight hours! But if and when you find something it's like hitting the jackpot!
You may also want to dust flower or baby powder over the floor in front of the camera. That way if you do see something on camera you can go back and see if the flower was disturbed. Usually these entities do not leave footprints.
If you want to find more information about possible ghost hunting techniques and equipment I would suggest getting a book from the author Joshua P. Warren.
If you wish to make contact with this entity, I suggest not using a Ouija board. Ouija boards are powerful tools and are best used by people who know how to use them.  There are ceremonies and rights associated with the proper use of the Ouija board.  If you are not familiar with the lesser banishing ritual pentagram I suggest you do not attempt to make contact with the spirit in this way.
One much safer method from making contact is using a pendulum.

And perhaps consider what you plan on doing if and when contact is made? Is it enough to measure and record?  Or are there some real and important aspects of spirit entities to be understood?

Suffice to say, I'll leave that to others.  I did a smudging maybe 4 months ago and have not seen it since.  I also protect myself with the light.
