Well this sort of thing is not always easiest for me so i will practice some skills, bear with any mistakes if you wil.
might i hazard that the argument or ring removing took place in the bedroom?
i can see a blue bed spread and wonder if the ring was not caught up in the bed or thrown into a space around the bed somewhere during making or sleeping.
I do feel you have not lost it, so regardless it will be returned and the warning of the loss, is to moderate behaviour in communication perhaps.

you were close on "seeing" the scene. it was downstairs in the main room which has a large bed looking couch and blue moon and star comforter. I have torn that couch apart looking for it, but no luck yet ARRRRGH
