I've begun working on my family tree and though I've been fairly successful going back several generations, I'm stumped when it comes to my great-grandfather.

In 1930 he went off to look for work, supposedly going to Kansas.  He was never seen or heard from again.  I have his name and birthdate, but nothing shows up in any federal or state databases.  His family thought he just abandoned them, but I'm beginning to believe that maybe he was killed, or just died not long after he left home and that he's possibly buried in either a paupers grave, or potters field type thing without the state every knowing who he was.

Is it possible to psychically determine what happened to him?  My grandmother and her brothers have been haunted by what happened, even to the point of being bitter (my great-uncle) because their dad never came home.  I'd love to give them some closure before they leave this earth, in order for them to be completely free, if its possible that is.

oh no,

i immediately got a sense of a name change, not death. if you want more i did get it but you may prefer to let it go. it is not proveable really either i guess. could i ask, i get a sense of apples, is there a place not too far from where he started that apples dominate??

Not that I can think of, about the apples.

I really do wish i can let it go, but I have this very strong desire to find out about him.  I can't really explain it, but I guess I want to give my grandmother and her siblings SOMETHING.

It was the depression and many people wandered around looking for work.  I believe he started out for and to Kansas but went further west.  He followed some crops that he could work that paid better.  But he could never get ahead.  He always remembered his family, just couldn't get enough to go home.

Check in Calif. for some records.  Although many died in the fields and nothing was known of them, so they went into paupers graves.  This would fit with apples as well.
