what exactly constitutes a 3rd party reading?

It would and does seem to me that a 3rd party reading is about someone else but does not have a direct consequence for the questor, in any reading that a person is asking about a relationship of any sort, it is impossible to fulfill the request accurately without reading both parties, if a tarot reading you would need to engage the other parties energetic interaction with the questor, or you would simply be reading the questors desires and not external influences.

regardless of how it is worded or even what the subject matter is if it involves more than one person, accuracy can only be attained (whether you acknowledge it or not) by reading others involved with the querant, be it employer,(question, will i get this job?), lover(question, will we be together?), any of the above, (question, what do you see for me in the future with relationships?career?family?children).

personally i would find it bizarre to say the least, if one were to assume you could give information on any subject that involves more than one person without taking into account the other persons motivations, intentions, influence on the querant, and last but certainly not least whether this influence will have a positive or challenging aspect in the future.

in short, though i do tend to waffle, what does constitute in your mind, a 3rd party reading?

In my opinion:

You are the first part.
The Reader is the second Part

The one who aren't present are the 3de part.

How would you like that some of your neighbors, that you did not fancy that much, traveled to a site and asked  a Reader about his/her opinions about you?

How would you feel...if it so happen that you stumbled upon the same site and read about it?

It has nothing to do with the reading being true or not, both true and false can give the person "bad feelings", because you try to enter his/her private sphere.

When you evaluate 3 part readings...then your view must be moved away from yourself and put in the shoe of the person you ask for.

Since none of us are able to do that, we deny such request.

hmmm,

that situation is a little odd to me really. it is highly unlikely, but if it were to come up in that manner it would be more likely as an employer employee query, in all my experience, i honestly have to say that most individuals ask about situations and people that have a direct and often powerful impact on them,. that is why they are asking in the first place.  i really don't identify with the neighbour scenario. on occasion an individual may have less than sincere intention when asking for something, so you use your discretion as to whether you respond to their query, that does make sense.

on the basis that to me, and i realise at this point this is just something i am grappling with here, a third party situation would be impossible to ignore in any reading pertaining to a querant and another person. any query, unless it is self development, will involve another person, their intentions and likely outcomes regarding the querant.
even a question which says for example will i be happy in love? requires the reading of a third party.

I am not sure either about your last statement, i always find it wise to speak only of my own abilties and not ascribe them or the lack of them to others xx

I think i can help out a little here.  I have a forum called picture reading forum.  People on occaision post pictures of their loved ones and ask for readings.  We won't do this as we have not had permission from the person in the photograph and its unethical to do a reading for a person who has not requested a reading.  It has been called psychic rape by one of the other members of the forum and I would agree with that.

Readings are on many subjects, but high on the list is a romantic relationship.  When a relationship goes through a rough patch or breaks up, the seeker wants to know what the other partner is thinking.  This is intrusive, it is 3rd party and it is unethical to discuss someone else's thoughts and feelings - if at all psychically possible.

What someone else thinks about the seeker is a 3rd party.

The spirit realms as I took from one message, are not that 3rd party.  The spirit realms are the guidance we seek.
