Yes, Tourbi.  Only in the past couple of weeks have I realized that just because I BELIEVE (or want to believe) that the spirit world is a certain way, doesn't make it so.  I've even had the audacity to not quite believe what my spirit guide says on things, for Spirit's sake!  (It has to do with not taking things as seriously as he's asked me to take them, and not believing that there really could be serious "evil" out there--in spite of some really awful experiences I had at the beginning of all this!).  Finally, between his counsel, and talking to others here, I'm taking things more seriously on that front.  I think I've caused him no small amount of trouble because I somehow thought that I knew better.  How ridiculous is that?!!

Although I still do believe that there's more good than evil, and that "evil" actions often just come as a result of fear, loneliness, anger, etc.  But that doesn't necessarily mean that there's nothing to fear.

Apply that learning/teaching to more than your example and into everything, including your discussion on ego.
It's amazing how much I have thought I have known, including about ego and then my teacher has shared and it was totally different from anything I had heard, including about ego.
Stay OPEN in mind and heart, learn, but don't close the doors, just because something is learned.

Let me begin by quoting something I read in the Gospel Thomas which was discovered in 1945 in Nag Ahmadi Egypt "Let him who seeks not ease from seeking and until he finds and when he finds he will be troubled and marvel and he will find repose and reign over the totality."

I wanted to scream for help! The help that was available was a group minds that would have said that's okay you just went crazy! Here take these drugs. Yet, my experience was much more valid than my normal waking consciousness and as time went on other experiences only served to validate rather than dispel. So I was left to ponder two worlds and I marveled at how this could be? Perfect therapy is the paradox I was left with! Me! What do you mean you are God?? When you first see you want to tell an everyone-first lesson to remember is who are you going to tell it to? Yourself? I'm God and your not is somebody who went through the door a little too quickly with their ego on and they get stuck you know. Enough of this. Faith Doe. Simple faith in God!
