My first impressions are that the painting is now in the possession of one of your other family members, although he or she may not yet be aware that they have it.
It is not clear however whether this family member lives under the same roof as yourself.
You are consequently being advised to widen your search by asking other members of your family whom you have visited recently to check for your missing painting.
Just how large is "small", and was it wrapped in something else or actually hanging on the wall before it disappeared? Does this painting have much greater sentimental than material value to you?
