So, some nights I have some trouble sleeping, and need to entertain myself for a few hours.  Here's what I came up with a few nights ago:

I was just thinking about why the living are so afraid of “ghosts.”  And then I started thinking that maybe spirits are actually afraid of the living (and probably more justified in that).  I thought maybe they hang out on Friday nights, eat popcorn, and watch scary Living movies—“Night of the Dead Living”?  “Night of the Living Living”?  Or simply “Night of the Living”?  Wait—I have to think of some others (hell, I have nothing better to do with my time):
“Living Person” (instead of “Ghost”)
“Living Whisperer”
“Living Hunters”
I’m sure I’ll come up with more.

Seriously--if I don't keep my sense of humor about things, I'm lost!  I just thought that some of you might find it vaguely amusing (fine--my 9-year-old son didn't think it was exactly hilarious, so I won't expect much appreciation here either!...).

I did like it. You can always say to them "You poor souls, do not be afraid". Since we find they leave a cold wake behind, maybe they cannot stand our heating devices, so they try to open doors and windows in order not to suffocate in our homes. But mostly they must think of us as blind and deaf. That is, supposing all of them have the ability to sense us, which I also doubt. If one is not very observant in life, why should one be after death has taken our living senses away?

What I like to think when awake at night is which is more real: the dreaming life or the waking life. Are we dreaming we are awake and have a life, like they did in Matrix?

My guide has a 'wicked' sense of humour too Pete.
How about songs - a song for people who murder spouses - Songs for swinging lovers.
Or one for all the dead witches - Burning love.
Or people who've just eaten a vindaloo - Ring of fire.
Sorry about that.

HAHA it's amazing what we think up when we're sleep deprived.
