It seems that so much has been going on in my life lately, I'm confused and a bit scared as to what it could mean.  I recently tried to sell my car on craigslist, and I think the person interested might be scamming me...Can someone tell me what they see if I go through with this deal?  Will I fall for a scam, or is this person legit and I'm falsely accusing them?

Anything else you can tell would be wonderful as well  Thank You!

Proceed with caution and ask for cash dont take assurances, What ever he has told you is only half true.

He told me that he mailed me a check.  I'm thinking of just mailing it back to him when I get it because I'm afraid it's fake and I can't afford that.

Why not cash the cheque and when you are sure you have the money then let him have the car? To be frank this doesn't need a psychic it just needs good sense, guaranteed bankers draft is much safer. If in doubt then don't.

DO NOT TAKE A CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. My niece was scammed they mailed her a phony money order for over the amount of what the price was for the item, the person said to just mail the amount over the original price back to them. She then went to the bank and cashed the money order a few weeks later the bank found out it wasnt a real money order and wanted her to pay 2500.00 back to the bank. The FBI got involved and she got her money back and didnt have to pay back the extra money back. Ask for cash not sure if a certified check would be valid either so its better to be safe than sorry and have to go to all the hassle to get your money back.
