I personally believe that the more we work to be in our Spirit Self, to let the ego serve Spirit, the more likely, we can make choices, that lead us from being angry.  It is something I am truly working on.  I'm making the anger choice much less.  I am also recognizing that everything outside of me I have brought to me.  I have created.  I believe at some level we are one, that you and I are a part of each other.  If you have behavior that I choose to be angry about, it is something in me I need to look at and heal.  (ho'oponopono) I am working to be consistent in doing forgiveness, loving and having gratitude.  I am choosing anger much less.
Again, this is my personal opinion and experience and am not trying to impose it on others.

Hi Cali. We can't hustle our feelings. Take one of your potted plants for an example, if you decided not water one of those plants, what would happen? What you pay attention to, waters those undesirables. Meditation is a 24 hr a day job.  Love and Peace

Greetings

Anger is an emotion that if one embraces it, it manifests.  It is only through choice that you can change this emotion.  And it depends on the choice you make, if you are embracing this emotion or not.  To me it is not about suppressing this emotion, it is about becoming more aware of it.  Searching deeper within yourself, to only find out that by being angry, you are not going to solve or achieve anything.  But one must learn how to detach yourself from an emotion like anger, for my point is that it is anger that is not good for you.  One should acknowledge it for what it is.  And by acknowledging it, you are not suppressing it.  And through being aware of it, you can decide what you want to do about it.  

I prefer meditating on what made me angry, and on that moment I silenced my mind, I was able to think more sensible.  To look at ways of how I can deal with this anger, what can I do that will solve what ever made me angry, what actions should I be taking, and if it is the right choice I am making.  By this, am I suppressing anger, no way, I am dealing with the emotion anger.  Once I have dealt with it, it is an emotion that I do not feel anymore.  Because I decided in doing something to change the way I feel.  I never enjoyed it being angry, and for the way I felt about it, I decided that I do not want it to be a part of my life.  Am I suppressing anger?  No, what I am doing is changing the emotion anger, to an emotion that I am more comfortable with.  When you are angry, it reveals it on your face.  And this is not a face I want to show.  I choose to embrace emotions as blessings and gifts like love, peace, joy etc.  These are the emotions that are more then welcome within me, and more then welcome to show on my face.  It is for these emotions that I have awaken my spirit and taken full control.  I would rather be represented by emotions that represents good and positive things.  So, I only embrace these emotions, truly to me one don't need anger and desire anger as much as we need and desire love.  Anger is an emotion, that weakens us, it is not making us stronger.  

As an individual, I have the right to choose what is right for me, and whether some of you just choose it to be, I choose it not to be.  And it has made a huge difference in my life.  For whenever I want to say something or do something, I meditate in order to think more clearly.  And you are more then welcome to have a different opinion.

The choice is up to yourself, do you choose to accept it for what it is (a gift) and just let it be, because you might be suppressing it?

Or do you choose to take action and change this curse into an emotion (peace for example) that heals you from within, an emotion that act on solving it without causing harm? That is too my knowledge & understanding a gift!

Thank you everyone, very much for the insight, when I paint or when I write my poetry I feel all the peace through my bones. Now if I could learn to focus that positive when I get upset. And I will take the advice and meditate more, you are right.
