Anger: I have meditated on the topic of anger all evening. I don't think it is necessary to be angry to be pro-active in any situation. I think when we see something for which we choose to take an action, we can do so without provoking our selves to be angry.
I believe we have many feelings that we may choose to have. I don't think we need to use them all.
I used to at another point in my life.
Now, the more I meditate, I realize I can make other choices. |
I like the last sentence. It's all about choices.

You're right, being proactive in any situation does not require anger. Anger over situations has been the catalyst for proactive behavior and positive change.
People don't provoke themselves to be angry. That's just ludicrous!
Have you been meditating with a purpose to find what you want to find? Are you really being open to what IS? Praying for the gift of discernment might make a difference.
It would be so nice if the world was filled with hearts and flowers, but it's not.
Feelings come TO us. Feelings call us. Feelings find us. We don't choose that. We choose the way we act upon those feelings. Ignoring feelings or trying to suppress them is unhealthy. The trick is to discern the proper action in response to a feeling.
An offhand remark from a co-worker might hit you wrong, so you let it go. A bully at the school bus stop at the end of your driveway should probably call you to action.
Sometimes those feelings need to simmer for awhile before we really know what they mean. Sometimes those feelings are like thorns that need immediate attention.
If you choose to be uncognizant of your feelings or to bury them, your life becomes a pinball game and you're the pinball bouncing around wherever and finally hitting the pit. That's when you say, "Why ME? Why do these people come into my life? Why has this happened?" Mostly it's because you ignored something that was right in front of your face. A feeling you didn't want to have and certainly didn't dare to face.
Turn those negatives into positive action and you're on your way to winning the game.

Good questions for which I have no answer. Only more questions. What about evil? What about psychic vampires? If someone saps you of energy and you need to replenish, wouldn't that be more of a repair than an opportunity?
Some people or situations drag a person down. It takes some work to clear that kind of energy away. (I usually go look at pretty things.)
Chi is energy. What about negative Chi? You can apply cures for negative Chi, but negative Chi can have some devastating effects. |
Where are these psychic vampires? You must first understand you are your own psychic vampire. Take responsibility is my advice and look within
