Exactly, lightingstrikestwice!  It's not the fact that you're angry - it's what you do with it that matters.  Whatever has stirred anger needs your attention.  

NightOwl, think more deeply, here.  Your reaction is pretty much on the surface.
Being angry doesn't mean a person is violent and vengeful.  Is a girl coupling with her boyfriend now a prostitute?  If you feel guilty for something you've done wrong, that doesn't mean you're neurotic, it means you need to make amends and move on.  All emotions are gifts.  All emotions can be negative if one obesses on them or otherwise uses them wrongly.

And, yes, I embrace all emotions because they are gifts from God.  Who, in great wisdom also gave me a brain and I'm expected to use it!

The fact that convicted pedophiles are allowed to walk the streets makes me angry.  I don't go out and kill pedophiles.  I write to my congressional representatives and to the newspapers.  I attend my political caucus.  I take positive action.

Mother Teresa said, "Don't invite me to an anti-war rally.  I won't attend.  Invite me to a peace rally and I'll be there."  

As for constructive criticism, the operatve word is "constructive".  Tourbi, I'm sorry but I think you've been handed Destructive Criticism... and who needs that?  Someone who cuts off your head just to make themself look taller ... well, I'd avoid them altogether.

some people/spirits/energy forms feed on your energy...drain you... is this negative energy?

surely this is just one method of replenishing energy?

isn't it more the perception of the use of energy that is positive or negative...the way that a physical form uses the energy is what is negative??

I think we can affirm that all energy is positive, it's only till we don't allow it to pass through us, by clinging or rejecting, that we don't see all energy as positive. This could be called affectionately as ignorance, separation, dualism. Greetings!  

Good questions for which I have no answer.  Only more questions.  What about evil?  What about psychic vampires?  If someone saps you of energy and you need to replenish, wouldn't that be more of a repair than an opportunity?

Some people or situations drag a person down.  It takes some work to clear that kind of energy away.  (I usually go look at pretty things.)

Chi is energy.  What about negative Chi?  You can apply cures for negative Chi, but negative Chi can have some devastating effects.
