Can anyone answer me a question, something which has been puzzling me for years. I read, using psychometry. This gives me a link to the person. My guides give me what that person needs at the time, be it past, present or future. Sometimes all happens exactly in days or weeks, yet at other times nothing ever happens. Why is this? I ask my guides and never get a straight answer, perhaps there isn't one . Perhaps my link is stronger at differing times. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I would be interested to know other pionts of view.

The instrument for all psychic abilities is our own body, mind, spirit.  The best we keep it in balance and empowerment, the best all faculties work.  Sometimes an attunement with spirit can be strong and sometimes weaker - it is all about the energies around our lives.  Keeping true to your abilities is the Key.

Maybe it's not really a guide who is answering you.

In psychometry there is thought to be an energy at work that is attached to the owner of a particular article.  There is actually no concensus on this energy.  Many believe it does not even exist and yet.... for those that work with psychometry they find the energy available to read the article as well as its owner.

In all psychic work being attached to spirit guides for information and message, tends to be the abilities to attune to the energies.
