So the novice in me goes out and buys "the idiots guide to psychic awareness" by Lynn Robinson,  i bought it off the shelf finally went to read it and when i opened it, it was autographed "Follow your intuition Lynn".  now if anyone has seen any of my postings someone, something is making me finally follow my inner power (maybe its me).  i think it is the psychic power that is coming out on its own.  i do know and believe we all have it.  i always knew i could be good at it, but feared it a little do to my grandmother giving up tarot readings like 40 years ago because she didn't like what she would see.  

So has anyone read this book and think it is a good place to start.  or do i start somewhere else?  i don't wont to fear anything, never feared spirits (never saw them always feel them).  thanks for any direction you can give me.

Well, I have become aware of these feelings within me and was lucky enough to join a psychic circle through my Reiki teacher. I have often surprised myself at the way I feel/see/sense things during our sessions. I am also doing a 'course' (if one can take a course in psychic ability) to develop it. I must admit I am not following the course completely, as naturally one forgets to focus all 24 hours a day on what one feels and senses around people. But.... whenever I have tried to sense the person opposite and then told them, it usually turned out to be true. I have recently browsed through the pages of Meditation for Dummies (probably the same book as yours) and could not follow through.....
All I can say is follow your instincts, intuition and gut feeling.
Dont be afraid of what comes to your mind at first instance - i..e at first gut feeling. Usually they dont lie to us. In my view, this I call psychic feelings.

I dont see spirit nor have seen any... but hoping to have that experience one day soon.

Nor do i see spirits, but i definitly know when they are around.   Not sure how to go about joining a psychic circle never heard or noticed one around here.  thank you for your advice and i will be researching for sure.

Spiritualism (religion, philosophy, science) uses mediums for their practices and therefore runs development circles and education for the seeker.  For one your own area, let me know your location.  

Doing a lot of stuff by yourself and internet input can be a place to start.  Hands on with a meditation circle for development can help get questions answered and a lot more energy to aid your journey.

Hi Spirittalk, i am in the northeast section of Massachusetts, USA.  i have read i should probably go see someone and have a reading done.  i dont know the right words, expressions yet but am learning.  there is a psychic that all the girls in my office go to and they suggest i go see her (they say she is right on usually).  i've never been to a psychic not sure why but i think its time.  Would a psychic be able to tell me, what i dont know, the direction i should be taking?
