About ten years ago, I started hanging out with people doing energy work and such.  I had a very sheltered life up until then, and it was all very new to me.  Surprisingly, I was pretty good at seeing colors and shapes and the such.  (my one friend practiced what he called shape shifting and I could see his chosen animal)  It seemed with all of us together, things came easier.  Now, 10 years later and all adults, we've drifted apart and I wished to get into it again.  I started reading on how to read and see the aura again, and it gave me different techniques.  One was to hold your hand against a white wall and focus and such.  Several months later I was in the shower, and it occured to me that my tub was white.  So I sat down and tried on the bottome of the tub.  I saw blues and greens swirling around my hand, and the part that wierded me out, the colors seemed to be washing away with the water falling down on me and swirling towards the drain.  I don't know what to think!?!

I have no idea what happened that made it post twice.  I was trying to deal with another page i had opened and i came back and it was on twice.  Sorry.

All kinds of good stuff happens in the bathroom around the water.  Water is a natural conductor of spirit - it is considered the symbol for spirit.  You are opening naturally when using the water and allowing any and all spirit input.

It might be better to pursue a more educated approach through a circle of development.  For one in your area, let me know.  I work in Spiritualism who have centres all over.

Aura reading is merely one aspect of opening the psychic abilities.  You don't have to open the psychic abilities to read the aura.  Perhaps some grounding in reading up on the abilities and how to develop them.

I know I have bracnched briefly into other areas, but mostly back when we were all together.  I was ok at charging things, connecting to people.  Even now with certain people I haven't seen or talked to in awhile I can tell when something is wrong with them.  I had one friend who felt he needed to create shields around himself, that none of our "buddies" could breach, but I could walk right through it.  Thinking back, I think we mainly just played around, but some serious things happened.  I'm glad to have been a part of it, as it opened me to the expierences that I could feel.  I'm just hopeing to be able to open up myself that much again without all of them around me.

I'm no specialist on aura (I'm actually thinking of trying that experiment in my own bathtube), but I do have a stressful job and tend to pick up a lot of charge and tension around all the machines we work with.

I was told to shower immediately after getting home because the flowing water cleanses the aura. And also to take a warm bath with 2kgs of salt dissolved in it for all of 45' every month or fortnight (which I only do when really altered).

Apparently, the aura retreats into the body while immersed or under the water flow and comes out brighter after a few minutes (they say it explains why we sometimes feel a little weak while drying). And all the energy attached to the aura but not belonging to it, gets carried away by the water.

Now, did you feel you were losing something valuable down the drain? Did you actually feel drained or just lighter?

You are lucky to be able to see so much. I find it nearly impossible.
