My uncle called me Wovoka (Native American religious leader) a couple of times when I was young, I did not understand what he was talking about at the time. It is has only been within the last 2 weeks that I realized why he called me that. When I was very young, (I don't remember if I was in school yet or not) I picked up a seemingly ordinary round stone, I threw it down onto another stone that was in a shallow mountain stream. The first stone cracked almost perfectly in half, inside of this stone was black obsidian encased in the stone exterior. I don't know why I cast it down, it just seemed to be the right thing to do. On another occasion I sensed that there was a gift for me in a landfill, I went out into this landfill and opened up a black plastic garbage sack, inside were dozens of My Little Golden Books! I had made a beeline for this bag, it was the only thing that I seemed to see.

It is very comforting to have a handle on one's purpose.
