I couldn't find a forum about matters of spirit and soul, so psychic seemed the closest thing. I was just reading on another forum an opinion that we all have a guide with us from birth and many others that drop by through out our life. Also that we choose our lives before we are born into them.

I don't agree with these sentiments. I don't think we predetermine our lives, if we did what would be the point? Would we really choose to be sick or to see our loved ones die or be in pain? Really? Just for spiritiual growth?

I don't think that we have guides like that either. Guides aren't 7 foot high Native American Chiefs, and braves or monks etc.  But it is possible that what some people call 'guides' may be the 'librarians' or 'truthholders' or our connection to the Akashic records, or the Great Library? Inner voices and conscience, our ego or sub-conscious? Rather than seeing us talking to ourselves and being called mad, when people commune with their guides are they really just connecting to their own deep inner core,  or to the source?

If a tree can talk to your heart, can a forest talk to your soul?

You can think all day long and disagree all day long. There are many names for the same thing. Don't be so narrow minded and get hung up on words. Peace

Why would a spirit in the spirit realm want to posses a human existence? Why do some enjoy their sufferings? Why do we consider pain as a negative? Why do some leave the good life like Siddhartha, and leave to experience a lesser life? Why do we worship our own sense data (rational temple) but discount spiritual data as, Does Not Compute! Simple-we may sound spiritual but we operate on the mental plane and not the spiritual plane and never will get it. This journey requires a certain amount of faith and the less faith the less we receive---------------------------------I can't land cause there's too many airplanes on the run way.

Interesting you picked only one point to reply to, I was asking for opinions, does that make me narrow minded or you? I am not hung up on words or narrow minded but very broad thinking, I had hoped that such a huge forum as this might actually have some enlightening messages to share, rather than someone posting a rather hostile, narrow minded reply,  ahh well, back to the drawing board.

AhHa! another reply I spy!  So you came back.

But if so, why do so many 'guides' apparently have past lives and are apparently people that did walk on this land?
