Booby Fisher was playing a very important chess match with one of the greatest masters of the game. The audience were behind glass enclosures. Bobby, during one of the games abruptly stopped and had requested that a particular man be removed. Asked why? Bobby said he would not continue if this man was not removed from the audience because he was sending telepathic messages.

Well, it may not be anything "psychic", Fischer had a career-long stubbornness about match and tournament conditions. He made many accusations, some true, some unwarranted. However, he was very particular about how , what conditions, and when he played. Some camera men also upset him for some unknown reason, and a chess game was moved to another room. Sometimed he wanted downright offbeat things: some were as bizarre as a requirement for everyone entering the room where the game is conducted to take off head covering.

You have a point as I don't really know if Bobby really was a believer in this  stuff. It is interesting why hats had to come off but who knows, or can explain his behaviour. Great strategic mind though. Thanks for the other info.
