The way a person talks, the facial expressions used, movement of hands and reaction to certain stimuli all can bring you similar information about said person to what a psychic reading would provide. Understanding the way humans work, or better even, the way WE work, plays a huge role in the ability to see what may be to come. We reference sake, let's call this Mental Observation.

Psychics, it seems, focus a little bit more on uncontrollable environmental circumstances as well as the emotional/mental state of the person recieving the reading to give advice. A lot of times, the pyshic, when giving a reading, gathers themselves into a new operation mode of talking -- I call it the "Psychic Speak."

It always sounds as if an unsuspecting hero in a book (The one recieving the reading) is listening to the Enlightened One helping them to the path of their destiny. For some reason, when people hear others talk to them in that Language (using that Psychic-speech pattern) the message hits home so much harder -- it becomes magical and amazing in our minds...


Unless of course we see what it really is.

I decided I would try this theory out on an old friend of mine; her name is Ann. Instead of accessing the "Feelings" bank, I accessed the "Observed Behavior" bank in my mind to regurgitate the information back to her. At this time, she didn't know that I was about to go all "Psychic" on her. In all our years, she has never seen this side, but I trucked forth and told her to sit back while I explained to her all kinds of things about her life, her future decisions... yada yada... you get the idea.

Using JUST mental observations, not Spiritual Feelings or Psychic Ability, I began.

(And I would also like to point out that Mental Observations and Psychic Ability can go hand in hand, but my main point here is that Mental Observations can be made by any person with developed psychic ability or not.)


Ann busted out in laughter during most of the thing. Not at me, of course. At herself. All the analyzations ended up being correct.


Main point: The information I got to analyze, break down, figure out, see the details of her life, past, present and future, did not come from Feeling and Energies (In the sense that the two are seperate from the mental process of being able to peice bits of information together.) These facts concerning her life came from just that: Mentally peicing the little bit of information I had together.

Solid, clean, mental puzzles of the human mind.





I think the two are highly connected. Spiritual Cues vs. Physical Cues. How much Psychic Understanding do you think comes from stricly Physical Data? When I say Physical data, I mean with the distinct lack of Psychic Feelings involved. What do you think about Physical Cues vs. Spiritual Feelings?

What you're refering to can be done pretty easily with friends and acquaintances and it's used by some professional psychics to some extent. Also what's called cold reading, where you ask probing questions and build on whatever info. someone gives you. Other times ambiguous statements such as " you're usually easy going, but sometimes your anger gets the best of you" are common tools of prof. psychic readers. I know some of them do have psychic abilities, but it's very difficult to always perform on demand.
I don't consider any of the former to be anything psychic  
That being said, I recently had an aura reading done by a psychic school student from California  (I'm in Florida) which was incredible. All she asked me was my first name and proceeded to tell me what she saw in the different aura layers. It felt like she was reading my biography. I'm not real gullible, since in my former profession I was a fraud detective. So I wasn't trying to make it "fit". The reading took over an hour and I didn't talk at all, just wrote down what she said. I myself have given people names of relatives etc (some times first and last) I had no way of knowing. Once I was at a business meeting and falling asleep, when a name poped into my head at the same time the speaker was getting ready to tell us about a consultant who would be coming. I naively asked him if her name was so and so and he accused me of going through his briefcase. Needless to say, I learned my lesson LOL.

If you want to tap into your own real psychic energy, here's what you can do. Have a friend write down names of people you know on pieces of paper, fold them and put them in a container. Now you take one of the papers out, witout looking at it and hold it in your enclosed hand. Relax and let your mind become a "clean slate" Your intention is to write down anything that comes to mind about that individual"s personality , past or future events in their life and physical descriptions. Write down on a pad all the information that comes to mind as soon as it does. Don't analyze anything, just write about any impressions, names or other info.
I'm sure you'll agree, whatever accurate info. you get this way, would be true psychic information. If you've never done this exercise, you'll be surprised.

Hi Casey,
Very interesting post...I have wondered the same things myself at times.  I believe that I have had a very powerful 6th sense since I was a child...As I grew up, I constantly began to question myself.  How do I know these things?  Am I just good at reading people?  Is it something in their body language or the way that they carry themselves that instantly gives me some sort of information about them that other people are simply not paying attention to?  
I go through these questions over and over again in my mind...even still.  
When I truly go through some of the things that I have told people...given names/situations that I would have had no prior knowledge of, I realize that that couldnt possibly be the case.  Maybe in certain situations, but it is clear that there is something else is allowing me to tap into information that I could not possibly have known.   I truly believe that some people have a gift for understanding people through their behavior, movements, etc...(These people, if non exploitative and trained, may make for good therapiests, not "cold reading" psychics-that is completely exploitative) and some people have an ability to really tap into that unknown area.  For me, I think I do both, and may hold myself back because I keep on questioning myself about it!  I constantly look for that "proof," and I am continually getting it from myself, but it is difficult not to wonder...This is why whenever I do a reading for anyone, I tell them not to give me any information, even if what they feel I am telling them is correct.  In this way, especially if it is someone I don't know well, (or at all) we both can walk away knowing that I did not feed off of anything that they told me.  
Again, I completely understand what you are saying...and I appreciate it!

After we have accessed the physical clues, and that forms the demonstration, what happens next?  It seems to me in psychic approaches there is more to it and an opening to a path of progress suggested?
