Anyone who knows what to do in this situation...please help!
Psychic ability runs in my family on my grandfathers side.  Haunted houses, connection with spirits,,,etc...I have been developing my abilities slowly, with no training.  This month, I have been feeling as if I am losing control over it a bit.  That is not the main issue though.  My grandfather started talking about seeing "people" in his room awhile back.  People that are not there (according to everyone else).  He claimed that they are regular looking people and all they do is look at him and smile.  When he told me about them, I advised him that they were probably just spirits coming around because they knew that he could see them.  This went on for awhile.  Then he had to go in for some eye surgery.  When he came out, he said that the "people" in his room had doubled.  There were a ton of them coming in and out.  Still, all they did was smile at him, and he just ignored them.  He does not believe in his ability...never has...
I got a call the other day from my grandmother.  She told me that now my grandfather was seeing ugly spirits...They were doing odd things in the room such as taking out the windows with screwdrivers and basically scaring my grandfather half to death.  I told him to talk to them...to tell them that their presence makes him uncomfortable, and nicely ask them to leave.  He asked them to go, and they did.  Unfortunately, they came back.  On Halloween, my grandmother had to take him to the hospital because he claims that they are trying to blow up the house, poison them, and all sorts of crazy things.  He is in the psych ward right now.  
I know he is not crazy.  I know this because this type of thing has been going on for years.  I don't see them, but I connect with spirits too.  If he's crazy...then I'm on my way as well.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help this situation?  I can't seem to figure out how to help him when he doesnt want to believe in this type of thing, and the rest of the family thinks he has simply lost his mind.  Thanks so much...

It would be really hard for anyone else to do something for another.  Psychic abilities are claimed within and each of us deal with them in our own way.  Unfortunately, he feels ignoring them will make them go away.

If he would allow, you could sit quietly with him and address each of them and turn them into the light.  He would have to be on board and at least acknowledge they are there.  In that way, you could see them go into another way.

Make it a ritual.  Say a prayer before starting.  Then quietly, with eyes closed, check on who is there and will step forward.  As they do, talk them into the light.  There are always angels around this effort to take their hand.  And going into the light they will meet their own loved ones.  Encourage them onward and see them leave the host.

Then it would be highly recommended that for someone who does not believe, he totally shut the door to this interference or it will continue to occur.

Thank you so much for your advice...He is out of the hospital now...Lets see where it goes!  I am the black sheep of the family here...The rest of the family thinks that I'm nuts and tells my grandmother not to listen to anything that I have to say about this, but I am trying!  Again.
