I went to see a psychic today,she was great,but theres just one thing im not sure about.She told me that right now because im becoming more open and aware of all this that the reason i have not been myself lately,down and out is because negative bad energy is being drawn to me attacking me.....She told me that the negative energys have learnt to penetrate the white light,then she went on about other ways to protect myself.

I just want to know other peoples view on this,as i thought white light was the most pure light of love and good.....Some have told me no, white light doesnt work and others say it is bull and it is still safe.....

So yeah im a bit confused!!!!

It's all about intent Tamara. Some imagine white light. Some imagine being surrounded by mirrors. Some people pray. Some people smudge. In the end, it is the energy you put into it. So in some ways I can see how one might say white light does not work. It is much the same about using crosses and holy water, without truly having the intent behind it. A cross may scare someone away who believes in it, but for someone who does not believe in it, it will have no effect. But if your intent is pure and behind the method you choose, your heart will be heard.

In the end, you have control over how you feel. If you recognize yourself to be down, realize it. fight it, and then never forget it, so that you may use it as a lesson to move forward should it happen again.

Someone once told me that dark is attracted to light, but also that light is attracted to light. If you look at yourself like a beacon in the dark of night, all will see you?

If there is positive energy, there is also the opposite, negative energy.  Do you work in the law of opposites?  That means - do you constantly balance both and work within both?  In which case, you need to draw to the positive pole more often.

White light is the strongest - but nothing protects us from our own body, mind, spirit and how we control it.

I like a protective shield that is a filter - it works for me.  As SWB said - it is all about intent.

That makes alot more sense to me now and i feel alot better.The other people who told me all that other stuff didnt really explain it to me so i could understand it.

I know what i have to do now and i feel safer,so thankyou.

In a discussion on techniques, I like to add that mirrors are not the best tool for any protective shield.  The reason:  You are sending back what has been sent to you, to be sure, but what thought have you given to aiding them with a transformation?  If you return anger for anger, there is little more to work with involved.  What about your own karma then?

In any exercise of protection we can also remember the following equation:

Red:  any strong emotion (anger)
+ White:  spirit peace and light
= Pink:  spirit love

We can see any negativity sent to us as an arrow.  As we turn it around to return it, be sure to use the equation and add the white light.  In that way it gives the sender something else to consider in their own emotions, not involving judgement on your part.
