There are the words of a song I frequently use as affirmation:

Flow spirit flow, and all my fears release
I am a channel for thy love and peace

Heal spirit heal, and all myself renew
I am expressing my perfection true.

When we open to psychic/mediumship abilities we need to use the senses - all of them - all throughout our body. Remember our largest organ is the skin and how much it covers! We need to resonate with as much territory when we are opening to spirit impressions. Don't just listen or use the mind - use everything you are in body, mind, spirit - flow spirit flow!

I can't emphasize this part enough - we tend to want to retain control over ourselves so much that it does not flow - and the more we block one area, the more all will block. Be open!

Thank you spiritalk for the very wise advice. It does make sense to me that our 6th sense would be of more use to us if we could learn how to fully appreciate the 5 that we already have the use of. I will continue to pray that I learn to be completely open and trusting. I have complete confidence in the fact that prayers are always answered!

I was raised with an interesting thought - God helps those who help themselves! We need to pursue all the resources we can, to connect in prayer with a plan of action.

I wasn't able to actually go anywhere or see anything, although I did get a quick little vision of my bedsheets even though my eyes were closed. All I did was, I kept visualizing myself getting up out of bed without moving my body at all.

So now I have some questions:
1. If anyone on the board is able to travel astrally, could you please share some of your techniques with a curious adventurer who may or may not be on the right track?
2. Let's just say that I happen to be successful tonight. What are some things that I should or should not do while out of my body, to make sure that I get the most out of my experience and to see that I never put myself in any danger?
3. Are your travels limited in any way while on the astral plane? Am I able to visit anywhere in the world? What about different worlds? I'd love to pay Jupiter (my ruling planet) a visit! What about the spiritual realm? The "Other Side" if you will. It has been a dream of mine to browse the Akashic Records. I can see my spirit self sprawled on the ground with piles and piles all around me, learning everything about EVERYTHING! If I do ever find out how to get there, I promise I'll try to help lighten MangoMom's load and try to bring back some information for anyone who wants me to

4. Is it easier to make contact with your guides while on the astral plane? I remember reading somewhere that the more experienced your guide is, the less they will associate themselves with a face or name. Well if this is the case, mine must be very good! Because I have never gotten any inkling that I am aware of. Unless of course I am just completely and utterly oblivious! Anywho, I'd like to meet them and learn how to get the most from their guidance.
