I don't know if this is in the right forum:
Has anybody ever experienced seeing the aura of a colour spontaneously?
I don't usually see auras, not in colour anyway, just energy fields, sometimes ãround people, trees, objects which are usually whitish.
The other day I was walking my dog on the dyke and a neighbour was passing on the road and stopped to exchange a few words. As we were talking I saw this vivid green light around her. I was so amazed, couldn't believe what I was seeing, thought there was something going on with my eyes. Waling back thinking about it, I didn't think it was her aura as it was around her jacket which was red. I know colours have vibrations and did some searching on the net, I found some info stating that every colour has an aura of another colour and the aura of red is green. I was so relieved to read that! I've spoken to this lady lots of times when she was wearing this red jacket but this was the first time I experienced this. I wasn't trying to see an aura either, it happened spontaneously, and I'm wondering why!

I have just recently started seeing the whitish auras... though with some practice at trying to focus on it I have seen a gray-blue also, once. In my opinion sometimes we are just ready to take on more aspects of our selves. I think that this is one of the reasons that many people who can do things often develop more than one ability. Perhaps you have been 'ready' for awhile and this is just someplace and time and person where you were relaxed enough that the first use of the new ability came through... *smile* Just my thoughts on it... Not sure if it will help...

 | You will eventually develop true auric vision, but not quite yet | |

I personally feel that just as a particular symbol in a dream might have a very different meaning in somebody else's dream than it does in your's, it is often equally misleading to say that a red, green or any other coloured aura necessarily means the same thing every time it is seen. It is also from my experience very unusual to have an aura that is entirely composed of a single colour (it may however be one of the predominant colours of that aura), and the energy field around each of us is constantly changing, rather than staying the same. A complex dynamic mixture of swirling and ever changing hues of colour which reflects the person's changing thoughts and emotional state.
I believe that the white coloured aura which most people see as their physical eyes first defocus (which is an important first step towards developing true auric vision) is merely a temporary anomaly, and that the true colours of the aura will only appear later.
While I would not wish to discourage you by saying that I do not feel that you will ever be able to see another person's true aura (as you are obviously already well on the way to doing so) seeing a green aura around a red dress is caused purely by what are called in physics complementary colours.
Green just happens to the complementary colour of red. It is believed to be a result of the way in which the colour receptors in the light sensitive layer at the back of our eyes (the retina) becomes temporarily overloaded by too much red, and by staring at the red dress for too long the green receptors take over control for a while, and we start "seeing" a virtual green colour wherever we may then look (until we either close and rest our eyes, or we look away from the red dress for a few seconds, until our normal colour vision is once again restored).
I do not therefore feel that the woman wearing the red dress has a totally green aura, although I would be genuinely surprised if green is not one of the many colours contained in her aura. Unfortunately, at this early stage of developing your auric vision (and again I state that this does not mean that you will never be capable of viewing a true aura, if you continue to persevere with your development exercises), I feel that you are presently only seeing the complementary colour for red around her, which can be fully explained by non psychic means.
Take care,

This makes sense to me e.o.t., I was a little worried that there was something wrong with my eyes. I did realise that it was coming from the lady's jacket not herself but wondered why at that precise moment. I have thought since that it may be that the sun was shining brightly and all the elements were there, also the distance I stood from her possible a factor(?)
