There is nothing magical in itself about reading coffee grounds, tea leaves, Tarot cards or the runes in order to help the person requesting a reading to better understand themselves. Similar in many ways to the process as interpreting another person's dream, while both of you are still wide awake (although the reader herself may be in an altered state of consciousness at the time of the reading in order to greatly enhance it's effectiveness.

Psychics (including coffee ground readers) are actually tuning in to your personal energy field or aura, in order to gain valuable insights into your personality, with the intent to be able to better prepare you for whatever the future holds in store for you (rather than only attempting to predict the future, or to read your mind).

Coffee grounds readers claim to be able to see patterns amongst what to most of us would be a random arrangement. If you have ever looked up at a cloudy sky and imagined all sorts of animals and other familiar shapes amongst the clouds you will already be familiar with the mind's ability to see patterns where they might not exist.

But readers of coffee grounds or tea leaves do this intentionally, as merely a divination tool in order to help make the process of gaining psychic information about you a little easier than it might have been otherwise. There is no actual information coming from the coffee grounds, but some people find this method helps to put them in the proper frame of mind to give you your reading.

If you are receiving glowing reports from your neighbours and your trusted friend's about the accuracy of this woman's coffee grounds readings and what help they have been to them, then I would feel reasonably confident that it might be worth seeing what she can come up with, with regard to yourself.

If you are financially stretched at the moment and are having to stick to a particularly tight budget (just as many people are), see if the coffee ground reader will agree to you sharing a reading with a close friend of your's (one who has already received a positive reading from her), and split her fee between you by prior agreement.

I would not want you to deny yourself of this opportunity to receive help, simply because you you thought it was just too weird, or because you did not have enough money. Please let us know what happened, if you do decide to go ahead with this, as you may in turn be able to help other MB members who live close to you. You will by doing so be helping this genuine caring woman in return, by gaining her more satisfied customers.

I was curious as to the answer to this too, never really thought about it too much.... But VERY informative EOT as always!! *claps* You are amazing!! ANyways.. that is my two cents....

Little Bird: I personally like to talk to someone, if I get a good feeling and still want a reading then I will, but if I have any doubt at all then I don't. Just some personal insight... I hope that if you do get one that it is a good experience.
