What a cutie!    Dogs are very sensitive, we always take one of our dogs with us when we go to see houses, they have such an instinct and can definately see and smell and sense things that we can't.

Skye is lovely, she is also asking why? If only we could talk to our animals and answer their questions. Did Skye see Tamieka pass? Did she say goodbye?  I get a sense that Skye does have a low spirit now, like Spiritalk says, but I don't think it's because it's near her time I feel that it is more depression and confusion, she just feels low and lonely, perhaps becasue she is back on her 'doggy' own?  :(  I would get the vet to take blood tests and check her levels, that way you will have your mind eased  She needs exercise too, to shift the rest of her extra weight, the limbs and heart are working very hard to pump her blood round.

With love to you both

Yes Skye is cute,thankyou!!

Yes i think Skye has been picking up on something around my place as sometimes she acts as if she is deadly scared,so who knows what she is picking up on.

Poor Skye   no she didnt really get to say goodbye....The saturday morning my mother came by,picked tamieka up and took her to the vet to have her put to sleep. My mother was going to bring tamieka back to my house to let skye and the other dog smell and see she has left us (we always do that when one of our pets pass on) but she didnt this time, mum went to her place, put tamieka in her "resting spot" then came back that afternoon and took the other dog home.......So it was very much a shock for Skye.

I am going to get another dog from an animal shelter in the next few weeks. It wont replace the others but she can then have doggy company,i feel bad about that now, didnt think of her really.

She is going to the vet next week to have a full checkup and get a new diet plan.....I hope to have her fighting fit in a few months, might have to up her walks........

Thankyou heaps,it meant ALOT to me,very much so....

Thanks for replying, what a lovely post, does kinda explain things too

If you do decide to rehome a dog then ask if you can take Skye with you to meet the chosen one and see what she thinks. Most homes allow this, infact some enforce seeing the dogs together, so they know they get on and have been introduced properly.

Let us know how you get on with the vet too, doggy diets are really hard, thats why exercise can really help. I have a husky that is prone to put on weight even if she smells food lol, luckily she is very very active. Our other dog is a German Shepherd and I swear she loses weight just by thinking about it, so two very extreme cases lol but both easy to manage on the correct food and care

Have fun and give Skye a hug from me xxxx
