Question about symbols, Mysticism, reading, forums, Numerology, Sun Signs, Divination

Are you suppose to make your own list of symbols or wait for your guide to show you symbols and decipher them?I have gotten some like a cross means crossed over but the newspaper clippings I dont know if it means news thats coming or If i'm supposed to read them to get the news? I did post the newspaper clippings at another web site and they think its my guide preparing me......Any thoughts on this?

Whether the symbols are given to you by your guide, or whether instead they are merely coming from your own unconscious mind, they have a meaning which is likely to be almost unique to yourself. Some symbols are universal, meaning that they are common to many if not all of us at one time or the other, and these can therefore are much more likely be found in someone else's list of the meanings of symbols than one which only your mind understands.

But that does not mean that there is necessarily any harm in consulting another person's general list, as long as we recognise that in the end we are the best possible interpreters of the meanings of these symbols to us. But other people can still offer us their own opinions and helpful suggestions to make the task of building up our own lists a little easier than they might have been otherwise. You are the one who needs to eventually interpret the meanings of each symbol to you, and not your guide. Your guide does not in fact send or give you these symbols. He or she draws on them directly from the deeper layers of your own unconscious mind. These symbols therefore both belong to and come from you, and NOT your guide?

He (or she) carefully and wisely selects the best one in order to most effectively communicate it's intended meaning (rather like picking out what he believes is the best word for his purposes, from what is after all YOUR dictionary).

The symbol of a cross or crucifix pre-dated it's Christian use. From what limited understanding I have of the matter the horizontal bar represents the physical, while the vertical bar represents the spiritual. A coming together of both where the spiritual or infinite transcends or rises above the physical or finite. The triumph and victory of the eternal spirit over the physical process of transformation called DEATH. On the other hand to another person, being given the symbol of a cross by their guide or within a dream may mean instead that their life is presently at a crossroads, or that perhaps someone is attempting to double cross or deceive them, and by so doing gain unfair advantage over them.

The one symbol may have entirely different meanings at different stages in one person's life, without having to compare it's possible meaning with someone else's. If only unconscious symbols were as easy to understand under all circumstances as our written languages are, there would be very little need for discussing these matters in the first place. The only real "experts" in this field are the self appointed ones. I make no personal claim whatsoever to be one of them.

Some symbols have general meanings, to be sure. But the symbols you use with our guides will be between you and your guide and can mean different things during different readings. Be open to listen to spirit and never use your own mind to make up something before the facts are in.

Whenever you get a symbol in your mind, ask spirit its meaning. You will know exactly what it means. it may differ from reading to reading.
