We understand that energies flow all the time - but we can visualize and consider in our mind a form of opening/closing, turning on/off at our own comforts.  Each morning I go through a ritual of affirming good for my day, which I repeat as needed in the stress of everyday activities, and also put a bubble of protection around me.  I find this the strongest energy for discouraging random spirit happenings.  You might consider giving them a specific time to attune so they know you are serious about your own abilities and unfold them in order.

The bubble:  See a large opaque bubble, like one you would see from a child's soap bubble pipe, complete with the rainbow patch (rainbows are such mystical/magical symbols of connection, bridges, communication, and are complete with a pot of gold (prosperity) at the end) envelope your whole body.  It is a filter of negativity from within and without.  Nothing can touch you and your own words are softened by this protective shield.

When we are thinking of others in need we can also visualize it around them and consider it a good tool when there is a discord with others.

I'm glad you explained the "bubble" to me, otherwise I would have just thought, "Um, bubble? How do we do that?"  

I have a side question, here.  Is it possible to feel a presence when a psychic is giving you a reading?  I had asked for a reading before, and around the same time it was answered, I was actually trying to take a nap, but kept feeling as if there was another presence in the room.  What is that? lol.  I'm usually pretty sensitive to spirits.  I never have seen one yet, though I usually feel them.  I've even felt demon(s) present while in church.  That itself is a long story...

When you create the bubble, do you just picture it creating around you?  I'm glad you all are so patient with these questions, lol.  This is what I get for living out in the middle of nowhere.. I work in the city, live in hicksville.

All life is about energies.  And the tales we could tell!  All about those energies affecting us as people are thinking or concentrating on us - as in a reading.  

The bubble just tends to come when we think it in place the more we practice it.  Be patient with it until it forms a complete enclosure of the body so that protection is in place.

It's so hard to have a good time to practice these things.  My family doesn't believe in using psychic abilities, so the only friend I have to understands me is a co-worker who's about my parents age.  I believe she has a very strong spirit; she's been a very open believer in psychic ability, especially as a child.  She's helped me feel more comfortable with it, and not feel like such a freak.  I've been more of a dreamer growing up, and only lately understanding why I have these dreams, and clairsentience.  I've realized more and more the past few months what my "gut" feelings were, lol.  It really is hard pretending I don't believe in it at all, so I pass off everything as merely research of various fantasy books I've read.

You are probably seeing this at work because of your co-worker. Meaning there is positive energy at work and not at home. Maybe you should try to have some time with your co-worker away from work and you can tune in easier. Ask her if the two of you can get together some Saturday and hang out where you won't be bothered. She can help you focus.
