If a spirit is staying in the home, it is because of his/her attachment to where they lived and loved.  When renovations are planned or executed, they feel someone else is taking over their property.  They do not realize their condition (spirit) and that they no longer own the space.

I have to agree with mtthwoh, I have not found an unlucky house myself, nor heard of one but often had friends who had runs of bad luck after moving, who had doubts that they didn't want to voice, for every doubt there was an unlucky experience related to it. But you could always try having someone sensitive over to see if they pick up on 'bad vibes' in the house. Perhaps that will help; positive thinking until then can't really hurt anything. Just remember that nothing can last forever and your luck will change.
