In Indian culture as well we believe in evil eye...
to protect yourself against it u have to wear a black thread rnd any of ur body part like leg, neck, arm etc...especially when ur newly wed...its a custom...
i never used to believe in evil eye...but once i fall really sick...what my grandmom did was to get seven red chillies ward them rnd me and burned them and there wasnt any smell...strange thing was there was no pungent odour...which is the case when there is an evil eye...didnt get well at once though, took my time...
