Far be it for me to advocate the psychic uses of alcohol lol, but many cultures use 'drugs' to enhance spiritual ability. I think that some will find the opposite is true too, that too much and the ability has gone?

I often get 'flashbacks' in old places, its like being transported back in time and used to catch me unawares and cause real disorientation, now I can control it more and use it to my advantaage. Old schools, churches, barns strange buildings, you'd be amazed, and the best thing is that if you investigate them first without prior knowledge then research the place properly after online etc I bet you will find you are right

We are body, mind, spirit and the more balance we can maintain the more balanced the viewpoint to and for others.  Using alcohol can and does upset that balance.  While alcohol is in the physical body, the mind and spirit are certainly affected and can not be alert to the spirit within that manifests.

Hi,

I saw this topic and wanted to add my humble thoughts. I don't see anything wrong with a drink, in moderations that is. And for the right reasons. Many shamans use alcohol to see visions and hear spirit messages, sameway they use tobacco as a gift to spirit. I think it all depends on who and where and why, and when too. I know that many faiths don't aprove of any alcohol, and that is fine, I accept that too, but sometimes I have noticed on a Friday night that a glass or two of wine and the spirits really start coming out of the woodwork and having a party with me.

I personally think that if you are open and connected then spirits take you as they find you. Some will nag you to stop and some goad you to have another lol

As unrepentant alcoholic spirit stay close to the earth to have the vicarious pleasures through the unsuspecting opening medium, it is certain that what comes through with alcohol will not be very enlightened.  And just how much information from an alcoholic relative would you have listened to when they were alive?  So why encourage them when they are now in spirit form?
