I am unfortunately unfamiliar with the group of people who offer these "Connection to the Past" seminars, but if you feel that the fee they are charging is reasonable and your friend is happy to go with you, I really cannot see any valid argument for advising you not to go and see what transpires. It is quite possible to recover earlier life memories in this manner, but there are I feel other methods which could be equally valuable in achieving the same goals, and these may not involve you having to spend so much money in order to determine whether or not they will work for you.
As long as you recognise the limitations of the shared group visualisation methods they are employing, and you are not suffering serious unexplained symptoms and problems which you believe can only be properly explored by this method of what amounts to group self hypnosis, I would say go ahead.
In these cases I would suggest that you should only do this on a one to one basis with a qualified therapist who is capable of dealing with any problems which could arise during your "earlier in this current lifetime" sessions - some memories may release powerful negative emotions and possibly make your physical condition much worse than it already is.
Go ahead, take your friend with you for mainly moral support, but if you believe that everything is necessarily going to happen for you with regard to reclaiming your treasured past memories just as you expected during the course of a single seminar, then I feel that your hard earned cash could be much more effectively spent elsewhere.
Also no matter how wonderful your friend tells you that their own experience was when she went before, be careful going into this with any preconceptions as to whether or not you will judge in hindsight that your seminar experience was anything like being as successful as her's evidently was, according to your own definition of what was or was not a success (understood?)

IME life is progressive. Looking back can and does have some wonderful warm feelings. Why not try to re-create your warmth and wonder in a new and exciting adventure in the present and/or future?

I understood and I will never know because now I am being told that I am not allowed to come because it is on b/t a group of friends that my friend happens to belong in and it doesn't cost any money. And I am not trying to look back in the past of bad memories, I just want to look on the good ones,..like when I was valedictorian of the 8th grade and the speech I gave and how I saw all 3000 ppl in the church stand up to give me a standing ovation when I was done...memories like that I want to recover and think about as if I was seeing it on tape.
I am glad to find out that there is a way to do this but I want to know how...as in recovering and veiwing these wonderful memories daily would give me confidence in other areas in the future.
