Hi Bettina,

This is the part where I mentioned it's not others you need to learn to believe in again and regain your faith, but you need to find that in yourself. I don't want to appear smug, but I'm going to suggest you re-read my post just for your own peace of mind. I know it seems long-winded, but it is because I am very detailed. There are a lot of messages in there for you based on what you just told me ;)

As for people being opportunists, yes... some people are like that. But it is something that is beyond our control - to control another person intentions or actions. What we can control is how we respond, react to it and how we feel about it - in addition, what to look for and how to avoid it if we can. Just remember not everyone is an opportunist, and there are a lot of very good-natured people out there. Some of them you will find here.

We often ask in our minds for changes to occur...then we are contrary enough to not appreciate them when they come. This is not about those that betray you...they are just part of the scenario to make the needed changes to your life happen. Consider what you have gained, not what you have lost.
