Hi, I am Lisa Ann Bartlett (maiden name) 12/29/64. I have felt for a very long time that I could sense the presence of "things". I've never spoken to spirits, or seen them, but I constantly have lightbulbs blow in rooms I enter, and get that hair raising on the back of your neck feeling that someone is there. Especially now that I am accepting the fact that I do have some abilities, and am opening to them. I must say I do feel afraid.
   Can anyone tell me if there is someone here, and what they want? Or could this be the one ability I have never wanted and denied? I am terrified to aknowledge a spirit, as I feel if you open to it, evil has a way in also.. Catholic school girl here, lol... Thank you in advance for replies!

Excellent advice!  I would only add that there are many ways we learn and grow.  Some like do-it-yourself approaches to all subjects in life, while others prefer a teacher or guide to take them through the basics, while they practice their own abilities and talents.  This is true of all talents in life....the psychic is no different.

We begin all training on the psychic level.  Learning to be the best psychic can open the other aspects of mediumship as well.  Telekinesis come with high emotions...try to keep the fears in check.  Fear is the strongest physical energy there is and it is what is manifesting at present.  Knowledge and understanding tend to soften those fears to manageable levels.

Just as a thought...while the catholic church dismisses all psychic and mediumship abilities as of the devil, the fact is...they have one of the best mantras for going into an altered state of consciousness (alpha) from where we learn and grow in meditation.  That is the rosary.    

Meditation is the tool you use to get in touch with your own consciousness and also to attune to those in the spirit realms.  We can and do meditate in mundane ways, and we can also use techniques of attunement through meditation for the purpose of expansion of our talents of the spirit.

There are many paths to development and many places to find good information...the internet is rife with the good, the bad, the ugly and some filtering is always a good thing.  Check out my blog for a discourse on meditation for development.
