SERIOUSLY?

I think it is a 'middle-aged frustrated searching-for-a-purpose-in-life' kind of myth about emotional sensitivity and psychic perception/prowess being linked somehow! It is great for turning on the imagination in some cases but that is hardly about being psychic!!

The most useful and meaningful psychics in my experience (directly and from what I hear during my interviews of others) at least have been very stable, wise and grounded like the mighty 200 year-old OAK! Heavens simply do not speak to the 'disturbed' -- at least not consistently!!

Regardless of the magic and myths surrounding this whole business about divination and psychic perception and spirituality, these are really very mundane and 'grounded' pursuits as all practitioners KNOW though they may not feel it necessary to ponder upon or discuss publicly (takes too much time and energy!).

Sorry if I am being perceived as making trouble. WE are already in BIG trouble!! YOU all do take in the NEWS daily, I hope?

Love and cuddles,

RR
"Does anyone else have this also, anyone finding their becoming much to thin skinned and trying to balance their development without being too open to normal adult life?

I also dont mean the use of protecting techniques etc I use these I'm talking from a much more natural physical not psychic emotional stability.  I am very happy with me emotionally just not that happy with the fact I'm a very easy target???

How can I get thicker skin...would it mean the loss of some sensitivity for readings, can I  be thick skinned and still be clairsentient?  Is being thin skinned what clairsentience is all about?

Any thoughts or experiences???"

To put up a thick skin does diminish what we are sensitive to....but we can open and close these abilities.  Sort of visualize a tap.  We do not run our water all day long...only when we need it.
Spiritalk is referring to one of the ways that readers get their messages and that is by their emotions and I for one am one of them.  For instance If I were to meet someone who had come to me for a reading and my breathe gets deeper and faster, my palms get sweaty, my head starts spinning and I cant catch my breath etc then I feel like I'm having a panic attack.......its Because they do suffer panic attacks!

Imagination and Reading from my experience do not go hand in hand...there can be no way that your imagination can come into a reading as then you have let ego get in the way and your are seeing things biased from your view.

I need to be sensitive to know what others a feeling and to find out how others died.  For eg a reader came to me to get in touch with her Uncle.  I sat for awhile and in my third eye a man came up to me and placed his hand over my head, then it went black and I had the sense of a band tightening around my skull, everything went blank...I had just felt a stroke.  so I relayed to her that a gentleman had just shown me he had a stroke.  She said this is how her Uncle had died, I went on to explain the diabetes, the leg he had cut off etc all through my feeling the disease little snippets of these.....certainly not a way I choose to see them but its how I best get the messages.

Now there are also different types of psychics, we not all the same ;)...be boring if we were.  Ok so intuitives are more..well intuitive they know things.  No nonsese very straight down the line.   They like to know how things work they want to see how it all fits together.   Intuitives genreally dont 'feel' emotions or atleast be able to articulate them well so they can come across almost as unfeeling  and brash especially to a clairsentient who feels alot.  Intuitives when balanced get things done and progress well.  So a clairsentient feels a lot very deeply and at times if they are unbalanced they can become over dramatic or overly sensitive.  Then there are the visionaries and prophehtic types.  Visionary also known as clairvoyants love to see things, see how they work, they need to be able to visualise an idea to see if it will work.  They take pride in their homes and themselves, love colors etc.  Prophetics tend to day dream and it can be during these times that images will come to them whilst they daydream etc.

So being emotional is not linked to psychic intuition alone and those in the study are aware of this.  There are many ways to get messages and emotions is just one way.  I am although unaware of anything saying we need to have overly high sensitive emotions to be psychic.  Nothing I have ever researched has made that connection, because there are so many ways it is done.  All dependant on the psychic....

Oh and I have been watching the news it is a sad state of affairs at the moment.....why they only leave the last 3 mins of broadcasting for the good news stories is beyond me.  We need more balance in the news.....but like they say bad news makes money...:(
I dont see you as making trouble .......you are trouble....lol...;p........just joking

Just because this whole thing is dismissing the psychic abilities I will remind us all....we are made up of body, mind, spirit.  We can and do operate from any one or all 3 at any given time.  Psychic abilities can be about our emotions (physical body) or it can come on our spirit as the knowledge without the emotional pain.

I, for one, would not dismiss any psychic that operated from any level of their being as being correct for themselves.  Different strokes for different folks.  Imagine is we were all textbook cases!  What a dull world that would create!  I choose to acknowledge that we are all different, individual, and unique beings operating in our psychic abilities in just that unique manner.

The disturbed hear voices...but I would not trust mental aberations as a standard for psychic work....to be sure.  But to be as strong as an 'Oak' and remain sensitive to the message is an interesting balance within the individual in their own way.

Actually it is not all that unusual to have both qualities. The oak does that! It is strong and yet it responds to the tiniest whisper of wind blowing through oak leaves which then dance to the music of nature that flows through it

But it is so solid in body and limb it does not resonnate with the wind.  Only the leaves feel it and dance to its music.
Sensitive...too little or too much..pitfalls of clairsentients???
