I have always had an interest in the mystical side of things to some degree, but never felt as if I had any particular gifts or talent in that area. Recently I bought some jewelry from a glass artist, and when she helped me try on the necklace and touched me, she said it gave her goosebumps. She wasn't trying to hit on me...I was there with my husband. Then she told me I had "good energy" and gave me a hug before I left her shop. I was stunned and fascinated. Does this mean that I might have some sort of spiritual quality that others can see but I cannot? I had been feeling lately "spiritually dead" to the world...very apathetic and closed down to anything of that nature. This encounter has sparked my interest anew in spirituality. Can anyone enlighten me as to what this woman might have been sensing? And is it something I can develop on my own?

Our spirituality is enhanced by our every experience.  The more we relax and allow the energies of life to form our character traits the more we are open to the love of the universe that flows through all human beings.  

When others are aware of our energies it is a measure of our openness to the universe.  Remain open and available and the growth comes naturally.

I can not speak for her but, I feel that she may have felt the your misgivings of late that caused the "goosebumps". And seen your "good energy" that will help you heal. This good energy envelopes those around you and helps soothe and heal their souls.

I'm trying to be a more positive, open person lately. You're right ScottsmanJack, the goosebumps may have been her reaction to my negativity. She showed me her arm, and it was covered in gooseflesh as if she was in a freezing room. But where I was it was very warm. I will take it as a sign that I need to be more open to learning and change.

A natural healing energy that flows through us when we are sensitive to other people, may have been needed in this situation.  She knew enough to grasp onto your energies for that healing love.
