the bible is full of contradictions, considering that their entire religion is about praising the spirits, which is similar to necromancing, psalms which are originally spells, if you read them they are similar to the spells witches/wizrds etc uses, another thing aswell it stated that David could forsee the future and he was known to be one of the most holy of these characters, this is all part of divination...you have to remember that is made up of many books from men who; "heal the sick",  "caste away bad spirits", "turn their staffs in snakes" etc..these are all tools of divination, the enitire religion came about to control society because they were scared and aware of what these witches, necromancers etc can do, even now in churches the priest still caste out spirits, they still have ceremonies before the churches starts and remember that the Qu'ran is part of 3, The Bible is part 2 and the Torah is 1

roh: and that case is shaky at best.  First I don't believe in reincarnation.  Each and every soul is a new and potential seed of good.  Each has lessons to learn.  The material existence takes it away from the spiritual lessons that the soul urges in our lives.  

The Bible is a BOOK and actually a collection of manuscripts.  Please do your homework with an open mind.  Christian scholars have found out how many and how the interpolations of many generations have changes its message over time.  

The council of Nicea decided which manuscripts would be included and which would be dismissed.  These manuscripts came from religious and philosophical PEOPLE with brilliant minds and ideas.  That is just what they are IDEAS!  Check out the ones that didn't make it for a more balanced viewpoint.  

Merely saying it says so in the Bible is no proof of ANYTHING!  We can not use circular arguments to make the case.

I too do not believe in reincarnation as being the linear journey of a 'packet' of soul or spirit.

What is born is like a teaspoon of water which makes it journey, then goes back to the huge ocean (Soul/Creation) and then another teaspoon of water is sent to be born as another being. While in the ocean state, all teaspoonfulls of water are one and in communion. When born, they are not in contact with the ocean in physical sense but still connected in a spiritual sense.

Hence it is good to remember that we are all brothers and sisters in a cosmic sense, or teaspoonfuls of water, if that fits your perceptive framework better.

I have some ideas about the connection between soul, creation and god too, but maybe some other time ...
