If the dead were needed here, God would not have created death!
They have earned their rest and must not be bothered, just as you would not wake a sleeping person!

In a sense I understand part of where Rohin is coming from. The dead have already lived their lives in this physical world. Some refuse to move on and try to live their lives through those still on this plane. There is a reason for transition/death, and it is our choices here and our choices when our physical body dies that dictates where we go and how we shall be.
As to who bothers who, I'll leave that to those who make that decision. Assistance can flow in both directions, and so too can hindrance. But alas the choice is ours?
