Well I am not a medium..but I always love to give my opinions.....so here it goes.
In my opinion such talk is universal, the medium have no border.
This I think like this.
The spirit itself can't talk, he communicate with the medium true "brain thoughts", this will then be said in the mediums language.
Thoughts are universal and have no language,(you yourself will always understand your thoughts..or it would only be garbage) spoken language is interaction betwen a "narrow" group and have limitation as such.
Some say that mediums start to speak language they never have heard or learned, I can't confirm it's right, but if my thoughts is right it's possible because the spirit controll the mind.

A great deal of mediumship work comes in symbols. Even language is symbolic. Colours, symbols, auras are all read with symbols of meaning. Colour is one of our strongest resources.
I have been known to just know when someone's language was different than my own. And yet, the full message is received. The language of love has no specific language.
