In the night of roaring echoes
Winds howling against the pane
Creature stir in an underworld
Calling out my name

Icy fingers of bone and nail
Scrape across my brow
In vain attempts to ease my fears
Whilst forcing fear to bow

Violent tremors rack my body
in a pool of dampness I lye
Images dance before my sight
Coldly stripping the darkened sky

My mind is like a whirlpool
No thought or action is made
Frozen in the terror of tomorrow
Face to face with death and hades

Hi Karen,

would you please tell us about these writings?

Are these part of an anthology under different headings?
I do like the choice of your words and the imagery you have created.

I particularly liked the last one -Roaring Echoes.

They are kind of "Life Journey" writings that started out as "about me" but moved on and developed into my world view of things. I use to write daily, but now I write as I move through this life viewing things, sometimes in ways that are not viewed by others. I do enjoy writing in riddles as I think it is important for the reader to draw their own conclusion as to what they are about.

I have thought about putting at the end of each one: What am I? lol

Do keep on writing. I have neglected my writing, especially poetry.
Sometimes I contribute to the Hub Pages, but not as often as I would like.
