A dream

This is just a dream of mine

Not sure of place or of time

Just the stone where I lay

And the flower seeds that flew my way

Eyes drifted to the sunset

Smells of summer my senses met

Love of my life

This memory haunting

For I know what would happen next

I remember this love of mine

For he was my teacher and very hard to find

Within a thicket I did seek

I found near a creek

This teacher and lover of mine

Heartbroken I did hide

Scared out of my mind

Next the flowers

And my last breathe

Eyes looking to the sunset

Haunting first

And now this my last

In between

I had a blast

Learning lessons as I grow

Painful memories I dared not show

I painted a smile

Now I start to feel joy again

Started to live when I thought it was the end
