Do not pass me by, on this remembrance day
Ponder for a moment before you drift away.

No name is etched upon my grave,
Unknown in battle this life I gave.

No thoughts of malice for those who live
My soldiers duty this life to give.

So tarry awhile, but pray not for me
My eyes are dimmed, I no longer see.

Pray for a world without hate or dread
And peace for your children, tucked up in bed.

Go quietly now friend and shed not a tear
For a soldier who sleeps, in peace-without fear.
