Its just not the same
Playing the same old game
Eggshells I tippy toe
Innerthoughts I dare not show

I am young but I am old
In this world that has grown cold
Friendships met will an eager heart
Circumstances pulling apart

I write this with a deep sorrow
For I do not know my tomorrow
When I wish to say all I wish to say
When I cannot today or any other day

On egg shells we tippy toe
The inner truths we dare not show
Another cage of solitude
Mindful of my questionable attitude

Dare I speak
Or do I give in

Everywhere I go it is the egg shell tippy toe
People afraid that we will be outcast if they know
All the feelings we feel
Alone inside we are left to deal

This dance of the tippy toe
Is restricting my energy flow
Even now as I write
I hold back when I wish to bite

Back to my studies with children in tow
I grew tired of the tippy toe

Note: What's this poem mean?  Oh the feelings we have but are not able to express them in fear of isolation and seperation.  Be it in the work force, our relationships, family, community...there is the dance of the tippy toe going on.  Well for me anyways. For those with a voice, you are truely brave. I admire your courage.  Even if I do not believe in everything that is said these are your thoughts and opinions.  Love the many different souls that I have seen in all different stages here and look forward to seeing even more of you find your truths.  Much love to all the seekers of the world.  I dedicate this poem for you.

you should have left the interpreation of the peom to us, the readers.
I do not understand the third/fourth line of the second stanza.
Care to explain? or is there a typo there?

I shared those feelings when I was about your age. Poems mean something different to each one of us........ best let the reader derive to their own conclusion

In the future I will consider letting the reader interpret the poem.  

That part in the poem seems to stand out doesn't it?  Just feels like it doesn't belong there.  No it isn't a typo.  Although I do have many of those lately. lol.
