Prasannaji,

Very good poem. I am reminded of certain incident in my life. I saw a man leaning out of a local train which was just entering a station. Unfortunately for that man he hit the iron divider and fell down. Luckily for him he did not fall below the train but away from it. As he was crying in pain he called. "MAA MAA MAA MAA".

Secondly I am reminded of an incident which happened only 3 months back in Bombay. A Tiger attacked a girl child in the jungles of Borivli a suburb in Bombay. The mother of the child saw this and immediately attacked the Tiger. The Tiger out of fear ran away. This lady was interviewed on T.V. "Did you not feel any fear while attacking the Tiger"
She said: The uppemost thought in my mind was to save my child whether it be from Tiger or Lion or anyone. That gave me tremendous strength and fear was far away from my mind.

Third: I remember a beautiful poem written by the Great Lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi, I forget the name of the picture. The song goes some what like this:

Aurat Ne Janam Diya Mardo Ko, Mardo Ne Unhe Inam Diya,

Jab Jee chaha Machla Kuchla, Jab Jee chaha Badnaam Kiya.

I do not remember the full song but the meaning of the son is very deep.

It is the women who give birth to men and it is the men who utilise the women for their pleasures and when satisfied they are liable to throw women even to prostitution for their benefit. Well the song is very very meaningful and that reminds me of my Mother.

So all Credit to Mothers for fulfilling their duties towards their children.

Thanks for your appreciation of my work, this is my maiden attempt in Hindi, as u all know i am a tamilian , and iam from chennai. You are the first person to appreciate me openly for THIS maiden attempt, thank u once again, it gives me motivation to write further.

Thank u very much for the views of your's on MAA and motherhood. Really the incidents which u have narrated here makes me feel proud of myself, because i am also a mother. I wish to salute u for your memory. i really like the song which u have quoted, very meaningful indeed , everybody should listen to that song atleast once.

I wish to send my pranams to your beloved mother and to your wife on the occasion of this mother's day, please convey my namashkars to both of them.
